Dallas / Fort Worth Radiant Barrier
Let DFW Roofer, John Wade Roofing, Save You Money with Efficient Radiant Barrier Solutions
What is Radiant Barrier?
Radiant barrier consists of a coating, typically aluminum, designed to reflect heat away from your home, ultimately reducing the amount of heat that is transferred from your attic into your home. This means your house stays cooler in the hot Texas summer. Radiant barrier material may be installed in your attic in a number a ways:
It may be laid on top of attic insulation
It may be attached to attic framing
It may be applied in spray-on form
It may be installed on top of the rafters before the roof deck is installed
It may be attached to the underside of the roof deck
It may come applied directly to the underside of the roof decking (as is the case with the Solarbord® product)
How Will a Radiant Barrier Benefit Me?
A radiant barrier installation can lower your utility bills by 5%-10% according to some studies. If you’ve spend just one summer in Dallas / Fort Worth, you understand how hot it can get. And, you’ve likely seen your air conditioning bill skyrocket during these months.
For a radiant barrier to be effective, it needs to be installed properly. Contact the Dallas / Ft. Worth roof professionals at John Wade Roofing at 817-265-5520 to discuss radiant barrier installation options.
